♥ 52 Weeks of Happy ♥ 18/52

Hello Lovelies,
It's that time again. Here are my small joys for this week.

1. Greenhouse growth.........

My pea plants are getting really big now. It's the first time I've tried growing them.....time to plant them out, I think.

2. A sunny day in Town....everything looked better bathed in sunlight.

Planters full of spring flowers..........

 Fruit for sale.........

and boats on the canal.........

The weather this week has been glorious.

3. This weeks drawing..........Looking out over rooftops at this industrial scene on Tuesday I decided to try and sketch it .

When I got home I drew it again in my big sketch book.

I think it's really funny that, after all the pretty scenes I've been inspired by this week, I ended  up drawing this :0)

But I do like it....especially the light and shade . It was a bit of an experiment , done quite quickly and inspired by this .

4. Bargain vases........

Currently £3 for a set of three of the cutest bud vases , available at Wilkinsons.

Hope you lovelies in the U.K. have a happy Bank Holiday weekend.

  1. Those bud vases are lovely, it's been a while since I've been to Wilkinsons...
Weather here is terrible, cold and very wet. Not fair! Still, nice to see the sunshine in your photos at least.

  5. Hello Jacquie...Are the boats for hire on the canal, or are they more like a house boat? Lovely sunny photos....oranges really pop with color. Keep up the drawing...interesting change. I look at each post to see what is new with your drawings....Happy week end.

  15. Hey Jacquie as you're getting ready to plant out seedlings, I'm removing covers from plants to protect them from the frost. A few more days of sunshine, may finally ripen some capsicums to use.

The planter box is just gorgeous, such a cheery picture after Winter and the Tulips are just about to pop open.
Love the little bud vases and the canal looks picturesque in the sunshine.
Lots of happy pics and your drawing looks great. Good to stretch yourself and Urban Sketchers certainly is inspiring.
Hope you have some lovely weather for your Bank holiday......

  17. Your little (now growing) seedlings - are looking very healthy Jacquie; what a sense of accomplishment you must feel as you plant them out in the warm sunshine!
I love the little vases: what beautiful simple pleasures - sweet little vases with just a few spring flowers randomly picked and arranged. Lovely touch!

  18. Oooh major wanties for those cute little bud vases!! Are your pea plants edible peas or sweet peas? I reckon sweet peas would look so lovely in those little vases!
